Career Track Program

Once again, the Alliance Center for Independence offered a program geared towards young adults, who are looking for their first job or interested in brushing up on their job search skills.
This spring marked the 2nd year of the Career Track Program, which is designed to provide transition age students and young adults the tools to find a job in their desired field. In addition to sessions on interview skills, job searching techniques, and resume writing, participants underwent an interest inventory, heard from representatives from DVR and the One Stop Career Center and learned about Social Security Work Incentives. The group will also heard from business persons in the community who share their expertise on how to become successful job candidates. The session included mock interviews with people in the participants’ field of interest.
The 9 session program took place at the Alliance office in Edison. Participants who completed the course will be recognized in a certificate ceremony.
A 3rd career track program is scheduled for the fall.
