ACI, 629 Amboy Ave, Edison, NJ

Attention: all aspiring playwrights! Have an idea for a play, but not sure how to get started? Need help developing your playwriting skills?

ACI is partnering with Art House Productions in Jersey City to conduct a series of workshops for individuals with disabilities on writing a play. The objectives of this program are to teach collaboration and self confidence while facilitating the participant’s need for creative expression through playwriting. Participants will get the opportunity to learn about the elements of playwriting through participatory theater games and activities that teach critical thinking and allow freedom of expression; emotionally and physically.

The 9 week program will take place each Tuesday from 11 AM to 1 PM, beginning September 17th. The classes, will be facilitated by Alexa Teebo, who has extensive experience working with people with disabilities in the theater arts. For more information, contact Luke Koppisch at lkoppisch@adacil.org or 732-738-4388.

Class is limited to 12 participants.
