Sex Ed for Individuals with I/DD

We are happy to offer these workshops based on the curriculum from the National Council for Independent Living and Rooted in Rights, with funding from the WITH Foundation. This new project helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) learn about sex.

Topics will include:

  • What sex is

  • What gender is

  • What a healthy relationship looks like

  • How someone can get pregnant

  • How to protect yourself from sexually transmitted diseases and infections.

This project has two parts:

  • Part one is a series of videos

  • Part two is a discussion guide in plain language

Some content may not be suitable for everyone. Must be over 18 to participate.

Light refreshments will be served.
