Last month, ACI's Social Recreation Group enjoyed a wonderful theatrical viewing at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick. Over a dozen ACI consumers joined us as they watched Ernest Shackleton Loves Me, which was about the never give up attitude of a devoted single mom in present-day New York City, as she fought to survive insomnia all while falling in love with 19th century time traveler Ernest Shackleton, as he and his crew fight to stay alive on a mission to cold Antarctica!
Valentine's Day Movie Night
On February 13th, ACI's Social Recreation Program held a Valentine's Day Movie Night! More than 25 people joined in on the fun as we watched 50 First Dates, played Valentine's Day trivia games, all while enjoying pizza and candy. We're glad that everyone had a great time!
Be sure to follow our Upcoming Events page for more Social Rec events!

On May 24th, 14 members of the ACI social rec group enjoyed a production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, directed by David Esbjornson. This popular play about life and love in the early 20th century marked the finale of George Street Playhouse's 40th season. Natalia Lapidus, ACI's head volunteer, brought her whole family and said "The play was great, we all had a really good time."
Crochet Group
In memory of our late Florence Landau, the ACI Crochet Group crocheted prayer shawls which will be donated to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Thank you to our volunteer, Anju Rohira, in coordinating the group and to all of ACI crochet group members for your beautiful work.
