Voting Machine Demo Day

Election Day is November 7th. New Jerseyans will go to the polls and choose members of the state senate and state assembly.

Are you a first time voter? Would you like to vote in person, but not sure what to do? Come join ACI and REV UP NJ for our annual Voting Machine Demo Day!

Staff from the Middlesex County Board of Elections will be on hand to demonstrate the latest voting machine. Mary Ciccone of Disability Rights New Jersey will discuss the rights to vote for people with disabilities as well as the proposed the Electronic Ballot Return bill.

Limited to 15 people.

REV UP NJ: The Power of the Disability Vote!

The upcoming NJ Statewide Elections are crucial for people with disabilities. Both the state senate and state assembly are up for grabs. There is a lot at stake and our voices need to be heard!

REV UP NJ and the Alliance Center for Independence will be hosting an event to kick off its fall election activities and celebrate the power of the disability vote!

This event will feature speeches by voting rights advocates, resources tables, voting registration, live entertainment by Cory Singer, free ice cream, ShopRite gift card raffles, and giveaways!

Free REV UP NJ t-shirts to the first 100 people!

The presidential election on November 3rd is fast approaching…are you registered to vote?

REV UP NJ and ACI invite to you to our 2020 Voting Registration Kick Off Event/Brainstorming Session. Participants will learn about the changes in voting this year (including mail-in voting), voting as a form of advocacy, and ways to encourage others to register to vote.

There is a lot at stake in this year's elections and people with disabilities can make a difference. Come with ideas and resources!

Disability Voter Registration Week

On Tuesday, July 16th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PMREV UP NJ and the Alliance Center for Independence, will be celebrating National Disability Voter Registration Week by hosting an event at the NJ State House Annex.

This event is part of REV UP's on going efforts to participation from the disability community in the elections process. The day will include live entertainment, voter registration, prominent speakers, resource tables and giveaways.

Come out, have a good time, and let your voice be heard...your vote counts!

REV UP NJ is part of a national campaign to include 54 million Americans in the Election process. This event is funded by the generosity of the NJ Council on Developmental Disabilities.

Voting Machine Demonstration

ACI has partnered with the Union County Board of Elections to let voters know about their new ExpressVote XL voting machine. The ExpressVote XL full-face universal voting system displays the full ballot on a 32-inch interactive screen and produces an independent voter-verifiable paper record. Many counties are rolling this type of machine out in time for the next election. This is your chance to test out the machine, ask questions, give your input BEFORE they are put into official service.

Disability Integration Act Viewing Party

Join us on January 15th, as we celebrate the reintroduction of the Disability Integration Act. We will be viewing live as Representative Sensenbrenner and Senator Schumer reintroduce this important civil rights legislation to the 116th Congress. We will also spend this time calling and writing to legislators encouraging them to cosponsor the DIA. Build your advocacy and communication skills while celebrating the power, freedom, and progress of the disability community!
