Join ACI for an evening of reflection, community, and celebration as we honor the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act!

We will be screening Change, Not Charity: The Americans with Disabilities Act, a new PBS documentary that weaves together archival footage and interviews to tell the story of the decades-long fight for access that led to the passage of the ADA. The film is directed by Jim LeBrecht (who also worked on Crip Camp) and narrated by Peter Dinklage.

Discussion to follow the screening. Share your thoughts, stories, and advocacy experiences.

Snacks and refreshments will be served.

Help restore funding for Centers for Independent Living!

The Governor's budgets calls for $0 funding for CILs for the upcoming fiscal year beginning July 1st. CIL directors are organizing a No Cuts to CILs Rally on May 6th.

The rally will be held rain or shine.

Bring hand held signs (no sticks).
